I am currently a sophom*ore at St. Joe, and I love it. I am very excited for next year and I look forward to many classes, like anatomy and English. I love the science program here and our science labs and facilities are brand new and so much fun to use. St. Joe has made it very easy to find opportunities to get involvement in almost any field to add to your resume for college, and they have many connections to nearby hospital programs and fun competitions to get academic recognition. I learned about the St. Louis Brain Bee, a bee for neuroscience held by Washington University, my freshman year, and it has developed a love for neuroscience and psychology. I would like to pursue neuroscience and biology in college. There are many bright students who go here, as well as incredible athletes. We have a ton of school pride and spirit when it comes to our sports, and we have countless awards recognizing the athletics program and staff.

St. Joseph's Academy provides great opportunities for everyone who walks through their doors. There are countless clubs, sports and activities allowing something fun for everyone. With all of these options there is always an event taking place, weather it's a fundraising events, a sports game or a musical. The teachers are always willing to help and spend extra time outside of class to make sure that their students have a firm grasp of what they are learning. St. Joe is one of the most welcoming and friendly communities I have been in, which is the reason I chose it. At St. Joe I feel that I have been prepared immensely for college, by having college preparatory classes and challenging academics. I am so happy that I chose the best all girls school in the nation to spend my 4 years!!

It's a school that promotes "not I but we" which makes you feel you belong in a great community. They push you hard to be successful and to become a strong and independent woman. They prepare you for college and life.

I love the school environment and friends I have made there. As a Catholic Private school the culture is all about the motto "Not I But We." Saint Joseph Academy develops independent young women that value hard work, service to the community, and leadership.
One of the challenges at Saint Joseph Academy is that the classes and work load can be overbearing. The competition is also very high on both the athletic field and arena as well as the classroom. This can be very stressful and challenging, however I believe it is what leads to the overall excellence and value of the education I received at SJA.

I had the best time at St. Joe! I truly could not imagine attending high school anywhere else.
St. Joe has a wide range of activities (that are all given attention they deserve!) and can suite people of many interests. I loved attending the musicals and plays, choir and ensemble performances, sports games, robotics meets, Youth in Government convention, art exhibitions, social justice talks, service activities, poetry slams, and all the wonderful activities St. Joe has to offer. Additionally, there is a wide range of classes to take, from Women and Gender studies to Death & Dying for a theology credit, or Modern Controversial Literature to Honors Shakespeare for a reading credit. I loved the teachers I had (a lot of whom are better than my current college professors), and I felt very prepared for college with the amount of AP and dual credit classes I took.
St. Joe helps develop the most well-rounded and amazing women! I am so proud to be an angel alum.

It was an amazing place to develop. I loved going to school every single day and I could not imagine going anywhere else. They also just updated many parts of the school, making learning even better for us.

Raises good kids. Academics could be a little better though. Hard classes are offered for those students who want to push themselves but are highly ignored by students who are lazy and only chose this school because the school doesn't "push" their students. Excellent sports program. However, my niece went here and wasn't pleased with the overall community. She felt very judged walking through the halls, did not feel at home.

St. Joe has provided many opportunities in STEM as well as in faith development. I have been able to attend STEM events put on by colleges and companies and participate in national conferences to present my research. Additionally, I have been introduced to Campus Ministry and been given the opportunity to grow my faith.

Quality academics. Prepared for college. Somewhat isolating and insulating....if do not fit the norm, athletic , white and privileged, the social scene can be difficult to navigate..as most girls have come from high socioeconomic levels..and their families seem to only associate with others that do too.

I have loved going to St. Joe. I have been able to be involved in so many various activities including sports, art, leadership and more. The teachers are amazing and they are constantly looking to improve academics, facilities, etc. One of the newest addition, the college counseling center has helped me tremedicouly with my college choice, prep, etc. Also, the community is very strong and I would not change my high school experience for anything. I have been able to grow, learn and change as a person in the best way possible because of the support I have received from St. Joe.

This place is my favorite place in the world. It feels like home. All the students are like sisters and the faculty and staff are absolutely wonderful. While the education is outstanding, the athletics are some of the best in the state, and the other various clubs and activities are amazing, it's the community that makes St. Joe unique. I walked in Day One and felt loved. If you're a prospective student, this is the place you want to be. It'll feel like home away from home. If you're a parent, if you want your daughter to be as prepared for college as possible while making her best friends for life, this is the place. It truly is the best all-girls school in the city, state, and nation.

The teachers are always willing to challenge us, but also are always there to help if we need it. I could not imagine going anywhere else.

I enjoyed my time at St. Joe. I made some very good friends and many memories. The teachers were always helpful and they really helped me work to my highest potential. I do wish that there would be some changes with the strictness of the uniform and other small things like that
