A direct cremation service can be arranged as an immediate disposition of the body, which is typically followed by a memorial service that takes place at a church or at our funeral home. A memorial service is one where the body is not present. Having some type of service is a key ingredient to a healthy recovery of a loss due to a death. A service is by no means a requirement but is a significant component of the healing process.

If the body is cremated:

• The remains can be stored by the family in an urn
• You may take the remains in the cardboard box supplied by the crematory
• The remains can be placed in a niche within a columbarium
• The remains can be buried in the ground in a plot
• The remains can be entombed in a crypt within a mausoleum

Families choose cremation because they believe it to be the right choice for them. It is as deeply personal of a decision as that of selecting burial. The decision could be based on:

There is no rush to put together a ceremony, which allows for family and friends living out of town to schedule time off to attend a memorial gathering or service at a specified date and time in the future.
• Memorial service
  A service can be carried out at our facility with a gathering just like that of a funeral service with or without the remains of the deceased being present. Also, the deceased may be viewed in a rental casket prior to being cremated which will substantially reduce the cost of the disposition. This means that the same tradition of a funeral service can be kept with the lone difference being after the service is completed the deceased will be cremated.
